Credits
CreatorIQ has its own credit system, independent of ScrapeCreators credits. Users spend app credits on AI-flavored actions; the system resets monthly and logs every movement.
Plans
| Plan | Credits / month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10,000 | $0 |
| Creator | 500 | $24/mo (yearly) |
| Pro | 2,500 | $66/mo (yearly) |
Costs
- Analyze a video — 1 credit (also costs 1 upstream ScrapeCreators credit)
- Generate ideas — 1 credit per batch
How it works
getCredits(userId)
├─ no row? → create free-plan row (10,000/mo)
├─ new month? → reset used = 0, log 'monthly_reset'
└─ return { plan, allowance, used, remaining }
spendCredits(userId, amount, reason)
├─ remaining < amount → { ok: false, error: 'out_of_credits' } (402)
└─ used += amount, log transactionTables
user_credits— one row per user: plan, allowance, used, cycle_start. Writes go through the service role.credit_transactions— append-only ledger: spends (negative), resets, upgrades. Powers the history view in Settings.
Out of credits
When a user runs dry, Analyze returns 402 and Generate shows an upgrade prompt linking to /pricing. The sidebar credit bar turns red under 20% remaining. Plan switching is a demo action in Settings → Plan — swap upgradePlanfor a real checkout later; it's the single hook point.
